Our Captain, our Hero …. John Smit

John Smit signing of his book at Clearwater Mall

John Smit signing of his book at Clearwater Mall. The 3 hours wait certainly did not go wasted for Vincent today, and secured him a second place in the queue which was well worth it! Thank you John for being a worthy captain and leader ...

Raymond Travers - Cool stuff! As you know, I was also there and also got my new book signed! He is a true leader and I feel he can be an inspiration to all of us, for sure!
Loved your Vincent/John Smit illustration. I will certainly be looking out for the name “Vincent Bailey” in the years to come. Go Get ‘Em!

Raymond

Claire Welham - Brilliant photo, can’t believe the resemblance, the perfect match with the facial features.

Phil Widdicombe - Is this John Smit when he was young or Vinnie when he’s older? There’s an uncanny likeness here…! Great set of pics though – well done all round. Remember Vinnie, you can be anything you want in life. Dreams are good; follow them through to reality! Go get ‘em, Kid!!!

Carole & Ray Bailey - I cant stop looking at the photo, it creates some weird impressions in one’s head

Debra Widdicombe - I loved the book in front of Vinnie’s face as it gives a remarkable impression of ageing! As Robin Williams once famously said in a movie (Dead Poets Society) “Oh Captain, My Captain”. Although he wasn’t referring to John Smit, I think we can all be very proud of John Smit’s awesome achievements in his career and strive to achieve great heights in our own lives. Well done with the photographs, Charmaine! You have an amazing talent that you should keep developing …
